"Why not use an enema" That's a good question. In
years past the enema was a very common helpful home remedy for many things. It is unfortunate that it started going out of favor a couple of decades ago. It is needed now more than ever. Those that grew up receiving enemas when they were children and ("For the most part not particularly liking them") at the time when they were given one learned later in life that they were an excellent tool for helping maintain there health. |
The purpose of an internal bath (or full enema) is to
clear the entire large intestine of fecal matter and other impurities. The capacity of the normal healthy colon in the average adult is about 4 quarts plus or minus, but even in the case of a person below the average size, it may be assumed that 2 or more quarts are really necessary for a successful treatment of removing impurities, and encrusted feces from the entire colon. Taking 3 to 4 quarts of warm filtered water slowly will naturally distend the abdomen and usually only produce minimal discomfort. |
