Enemas Can Be Dangerous
| Now I should have your attention. The Internet
can be a fantastic tool but there's a lot of information on it that can be dangerous if
used incorrectly. Before the Internet information concerning enemas was hard to
getf. But now they're literally thousands and thousands of pages on the use of the
enema. Many of which can be misleading and dangerous to use! |
- Enema Nozzles:
There are some extra-large nozzles being manufactured today that can tear or rip the anal
sphincter if not inserted carefully and correctly.
Some nozzles are thin and sharp and can puncture the rectum which can cause
peritonitis. if you even suspect that you have punctured your rectum or colon you need to
immediately go to the hospital.
- Rectal
Balloon Catheters: Overinflation of the catheter can cause it to
rupture. Overinflation can also rupture of the rectum possibly leading to
peritonitis.
- Enema
Bags: Their bags out there that are manufactured holding 6 qts. or more of
enema solution. Which make a lot of people think that they need to take the whole
bag to receive a good cleaning. You can actually rupture the colon by
overdistention. If you even think that you ruptured your colon need to immediately
go to the hospital. Rupturing the colon will cause peritonitis which can cause
death, and it is a very unpleasant way to die!
- Enema
Solutions: There are many enema recipes out there that can be very
dangerous to use some can even cause death. Alcohol is probably the worst. Just
recently there was a publicized death by a man who is using wine enemas.
- Anybody having had colon surgery should check with their
physician before using enemas.
