| One of the best home enema systems we have found to date is called the Flowmaster Enema System. This system consists of a solution container, tubing and an in-line one-way bulb syringe and enema nozzle or rectal tube. What makes this enema system unique is the one-way bulb syringe. This consist of a bulb syringe with two one-way valves that only allow the solution to travel in one direction. The size of the in-line valves reduces the flow of the solution significantly. Normally the bulb size holds approximately 4 oz. of solution so that every time you squeeze the bulb 4 oz. of solution is injected into the rectum. Then the bulb refills from the enema container |
| Directions for use of an Enema System Add solution to enema bag, mixing with warm filtered water to achieve desired amount. Suspend enema bag approximately 18 in. above the rectum. A good tool for this is the IV Stand for Enemas If you need better flow control of the enema solution. The ramp clamp is what you are looking for. Knee-chest position with chest against floor and rectum higher than head this is a best position to receive an enema. Insert nozzle/rectal tube tip into anus, using a lubricant ( Super Salve Surgilube Vaseline 13oz.) as needed. Anal lubrication is very important. Now that the nozzle has
been inserted open the hose clamp. Enemas are a gentle, safe and intelligent way to
assist your colon to function properly. |
