An enema series is where several enemas are taken or given in succession. The way to experience an enema series is for you to take a 2 to 3 quart   warm water enema  (alternate enema) hold it until the urge to expel is almost overwhelming. Then move to the toilet and release the solution.  The soap solution is only used for the first enema. Then use warm water enemas for the repeat procedure. Use the warm water enemas three or four times or until the expulsion return is clear. Many people may take a 15 to 30 minute rest period in between injections. Also many people take them while seated on the toilet.  Which allows them to expel immediately after the fill.

Alternate Enema

Using a soap suds enema as the first one when doing an enema series can be very beneficial to start off a cleansing series.

Soaps for Enemas
(A)  Conti Castile Soap -Conti Castile Soap contains olive oil. Conti Castile Soap is mild, gentle and soothing. Conti Castile Soap can be used for both infant and adult care.  Kirk's Hard water Castile Soap is a very fast dissolving bar soap made with pure botanical coconut oil.
If you hold it in the water filling the bag, take the soap away when the bag is full or leave in for a stronger soap solution.
(B)  Castile Enema soap in  pre measured packets. Standard packet is 2/3 Oz of soap.
(C)  Castile Liquid soap (Dr. Bonner's is one brand). Use approximately 1 to 2  tablespoons for each quart of water. Dr. Bonner's soap is available in plain
( green label), with Peppermint ( blue label) and for baby's very mild (pink label).  Peppermint oil has a cooling sensation on the anus during expulsion, last but not least Lavender Castile Soap ( Lavender label)
Enema Recipe:
Mix the amount and type of soap you want to use in a two quart or larger enema bag, water should be 105ºFahrenheit. If possible use a  thermometer to ensure appropriate temperature, injecting water that is too hot in your colon can scald or burn the delicate lining over (115º Fahrenheit ). If it is too cold it can cause excessive cramping and you will not be able to take the full amount of enema you need.
If you use any  soaps, you will want to finish with a plain  warm water enema to rinse any soap from remaining in the bowel and cause more irritation.
