An Old Fashioned Soap Suds Enema

In years past people believed that the only way to have a good enema was too use soap in the enema solution.
They believed that you needed to use as much solution as possible to achieve a good enema, consequently most of the enema bags or enema cans manufactured at that time held anywhere from 2 qts. to 4 qts of liquid.

During those times you often found the family enema bag hanging on the back of the bathroom door, drying ready for the next use.

Most families had a regular enema time schedule set up usually once a week, or anytime that someone did not feel well.
If you were an adult or child and complained of an upset stomach usually the first thing that happened was that you were given a hot soap suds enema.

At times if you were grumpy or misbehaving you were given a hot soap suds enema and depending upon what you had done you might also get an old-fashioned spanking.
Usually the enema was enough to change your attitude. Many a bad attitude were adjusted with this simple procedure.
