Determining Bowel Transit Time

This means knowing how long after you eat does
it take the food to get into and through the colon and expelled.
You can achieve this by eating 4 to 6 oz. of whole kernel corn and the use of a cleansing enema series. Corn is not easily digested by the system so when you have a bowel
movement you will be able to see kernels of corn in it.
Especially if you swallow mostly whole kernels. |
How to:
- The evening before you wish to determine your bowel transit
time will you need to take a cleansing enema series before dinner. You need to clean
the entire colon of fecal matter.
- After the enema series have dinner and eat several oz of
whole kernel corn with your meal. Try to swallow as many of the whole kernels as
possible or at least not chew it completely. Then go to bed at your usual time when
you get up in the morning you will need to then take another cleansing enema series. After
expelling part of the first bag of your cleansing series look in the toilet and see if you
see any of the corn. If not finish releasing the first enema and look again to see
if there is any corn. If not complete the enema series looking occasionally to see if you
find any corn.
- Once you see the kernels of corn from the expelled contents
you can then determine the amount of time from when you ate to the time you
expelled. If you do not see any corn then a few hours later take another enema
and see if you find corn in the results.
- If you find corn during the first release of enema solution
then shorten the amount of time between eating and taking the enemas.
- In this manner you can determine your bowel transit time from eating
to entering the large intestine.

To determine the overall transit time from the time you eat
until you have a normal bowel movement you can use this protocol.
- The evening before you wish to determine your bowel transit
time will you need to take a cleansing enema
series before dinner. You need to clean the entire colon of fecal matter.
- After the enema series have dinner and eat several oz.
of whole kernel corn with your meal. Try to swallow as much of the whole kernels as
possible or at least partially chew it.
- Do Not take an enema in the morning when you get up instead
wait until you have a normal bowel movement.
This will determine the overall time it takes from when you eat until you have a normal
bowel movement.
- Each individual will probably have different results in the amount of
time that it takes to have a normal bowel movement.
