As a tea, blackberry root dries up sinus drainage and has been used for curing vomiting, loose bowels and dysentery. Blackberry root contains vitamins A and C, calcium, iron, niacin, and riboflavin. Blackberry leaves and roots are a long-standing home remedy for cholera, anemia, regulating menses, diarrhea and dysentery. Prolonged use of the tea is also beneficial for enteritis, chronic appendicitis, stomach upset, and leucorrhea. It is said to have expectorant properties as well.

A tea made from the dried root can be used for edema. Chew the leaves for bleeding gums. The fruit and juice are taken for anemia. A standard infusion is made, which can also be applied externally as a lotion, reported to cure psoriasis and scaly conditions of the skin.

Enema Recipe:
2 to 4 tbsp Blackberry Root  make into a tea.
1½ quarts warm filtered water ( Mix well )
 

Temperature 103º Fahrenheit
